North Philadelphia Health System (NPHS) is comprised of two hospitals located in the heart of North Philadelphia. Girard Medical Center (GMC) is located on 8th Street and Girard Avenue and St. Joseph's Hospital (SJH) is located on 16th Street and Girard Avenue. These hospitals provide services to one of the most under-served communities in Philadelphia. NPHS is not only a healthcare provider, but is a major employer and economic anchor in North Philadelphia.
